A Change in Band Name, Not a Change in Ministry Focus
Hi all. One year ago this week a group of folks joined me to do a camp with the wonderful folks at Madison Street Baptist Church. God moved, and God gave us a great relationship with the church that has only deepened in recent days. In fact, Josh is with them now at their Mission Impact summer mission trip. We love that church like no other. SO, in the days after the camp we adopted the name Finding Madison to represent the ministry we have shared.
I have worked with several bands over the years, starting with Joy Made Full, then One Way Up (I actually had a student in Florida come up to me recently and say “I know you-you are the bass player for One Way Up!” That was fun), and now Finding Madison.
But it is time for a change. While I work with pretty much the same group of guys in the band regularly, i.e. Josh Reid (drums), Josh Hicks (bass) and Kyle Webb (electric guitar), there are two specific worship leaders we serve with almost exclusively-Jeff Capps and Chad Lister. Chad is local, a student at Wake Tech, and a worship leader at Richland Creek Community Church here in Wake Forest. Chad was also in One Way Up. We have shared a ton of ministry and I am excited about the future. Jeff, a grad of our college and a guy with whom I have enjoyed a lot of great ministry in recent years, now lives in Dallas, Texas, and is not as able to minister with us as much due to distance. But whenever we can we love to serve Jesus together.
So in the coming days, I will work with two main groups, the Jeff Capps Band and the Chad Lister Band, although the guys in the band are typically pretty much the same. I am excited to have Tyler Mount, who recently graduated from our college, play with us often as well.
In a short time I will be shutting down this website. In the future if you want me to serve your ministry with a band, or just to have the band without me (which I encourage) feel free to contact me or either Jeff (jeffcapps.com) or Chad (chadlistermusic.com). I am excited about many more years of ministry with all these guys as the Lord gives me strength and gives us opportunity. Blessings to all!

An Amazing Spring of Ministry
What a great time we have had in ministry this spring. We recently wrapped it up and moved toward the summer after our final DNow with the great folks at Providence Baptist up near Yorktown, VA. Last Saturday night we did a rally for a young church plant near raleigh and it was awesome. Here is what the pastor said to me in an email:
“Thank you and the band for a great weekend. This weekend was truely a blessing to our church. I can hardly wait to see our people react to how God spoke to our hearts. We look forward to having you guys again!”
We love doing youth and college events. but in increasing numbers we are also doing events for the whole church–evangelism events, moving a church from conventional to missional, etc. Let us know how we can serve you.

Great Time at Gravity Weekend
What a great weekend we had at Trinity Baptist Church near Cleveland, Ohio! This was Doc and Josh and Jeff’s second year at Gravity Weekend. This year the whole band came and had a great time. Youth pastor Jason Greene does such a great job there. He was so kind to us for our ministry there. Here is what he said to us on Facebook:

Madison Street!
We finished March with a great time near Savannah, Georgia. The whole Reid family joined the guys with Jeff Capps for a great time.
April has started with a BANG. MADISON STREET! We love this church. We got the band name from her. We are so glad that Michelle came along to meet all our friends, and once again Jeff C joined us to meet the amazing students. What great singing in our worship times! Sometimes the and would just stop and let the folks sing, and it reminded us a little of what heaven may be like, singing around the throne!
We will add some pics and perhaps video soon. We are taking some time off to be home and to catch up on schoolwork, then off to Ohio in May!
Busy March
March has been pretty hectic but really nice. We did a coffeehouse on Hannah’s birthday at Faith Baptist (Hannah sang with the band on a couple of songs and shared her testimony–it was awesome). We also did a couple of rallies in Virginia and Wendell, NC (see picture below). Off to Savannah, Georgia, next weekend with a very nice new Soundcraft soundboard. Have an amazing Easter everyone! We would not be doing this were it not for Easter.
Encouraging Quotes
Here are a few quotes from friends at recent DNows:
Robert Murphey, youth pastor at Oakview Baptist in High Point, NC: “Thank you so much for the weekend. God truly worked in an amazing way. I wish you could have heard the youth sharing Wednesday night in our Share Service. What touched me the most was when the 9th guys lined up across the front of the room and each shared what God had done in their life.
I have never been more excited to be a youth pastor. I really believe this group is going to change the world.”
Chris Barry, a former student of mine and youth minister from last weekend in Goldston, NC: ” Great news Dr. Reid! this Saturday when you preached at the youth rally 4 kids from my church were saved…. now they can’t wait until the next rally.”
We praise God for the opportunity to be a little part of some great things God is doing.
Great Weekend at Oak View Baptist!
We had an awesome time with Oakview Baptist in High Point NC this past weekend. Awesome worship, lives changed. Saturday night was amazing! We love our new friends at Oakview!
You can see how much we loved it–see how exciting we are!
Back in NC…
This weekend we are heading to High Point, NC, to do a DNow with the Oak View Baptist Church. We saw what God does in answer to prayer last weekend–so we invite you to pray for us this one as well. We love all our friends!
DNowSouthside Baptist in Bama with 266 great students
What an amazing time we are having in Alabama. A church averaging 600 in SS had 265 at their DNow. Tonight 52 stood to profess Christ publicly. So many lives changed. So much brokenness. God is amazing. These students are such a blessing. Can’t wait till camp this summer!
